Here are several different tutorials of hairstyles that feature spikes. I will say, you’ll have an easier time achieving this look if you have layers. I would also recommend straightening (w/ heat) out your ends to give it a stiffer, straighter, spikier look that helps pull the look together. If you’re open to using gel, it is also a great way of maintaining a precise spike look.

I personally haven’t tried this style yet, but I would love to and post about it ASAP. My tips will always be to have some patience. It likely won’t work on your first try, and that’s okay. If you’re planning on doing this for school, I would always recommend planning accordingly and fitting some extra time in to do the style you would like.
